The Arthur N. Ulrich Company was founded in 1958 and today is a third generation family-owned, operated and managed manufacturer's representative agency located in Pataskala, OH.  Over the past 60+ years we've specialized in the technical application and sale of high integrity prime and backup electrical power systems for a variety of critical infrastructure needs in the healthcare, railroad, financial, utility, telecom, education, industrial and data processing fields.

The company has grown from one employee in a rented storage room in downtown Columbus, OH, to a multi-person, multi-million dollar sales agency with a custom office building and sophisticated selling and customer support systems located in Pataskala, OH.  We also operate two subsidiares known as RedHawk Energy Systems, LLC and RedHawk Services, LLC.

Inside Sales Associate


Position Summary:

We are looking to fill open positions for our inside technical sales and support team. The Inside Sales Associate position requires a moderate to strong knowledge of AC and DC power and control systems. The need is for an individual that can learn the application details of our products quickly and become a resource of information and support to our customers and the outside sale team. Good verbal and communication skills along with a sincere focus on serving customers is necessary. Specialized training is provided but the individual will be expected to be self-motivated and able to learn and work on their own.

Responsibilities:

Review and interpretation of external project specifications and drawings.

Review of factory drawings and bills of material.

Preparation of formal customer proposals and quotations.

Creation of suggested specifications.

Respond to customer application, pricing, and configuration questions.

Simple and complex pricing of equipment and systems.

Manage customer expectations.

Timely follow up on specific requests from the outside sales personnel, factory personnel, customers and potential customers.

Recognize opportunities for cross selling/promotion of related products and services.

Support company marketing efforts by preparation of email blasts, direct mail, and cold calling.

Compile sales and activity reports as may be required.

Coordinating all activity with paired Outside Sales Representative.


Skills for Success:

Strong Communication skills (verbal and written).

Strong knowledge and experience with AC and DC electrical power systems.

Ability to effectively and positively interact with a variety of groups, including co-workers, customers, and factory personnel

Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize multiple requests in an efficient and timely manner.

Ability to develop strong relationships with customer and factory personnel.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.


Qualifications:

Education:
Preferred 2 or 4 year post high school technical degree. 


Salary & Benefits:

The Inside Sales Associate position is a full-time salaried position (min 40 hours/week). Starting yearly salary is $45,000 -$50,000 depending on experience and qualification. Benefits for a full-time employee include health and dental coverage, paid vacation and holidays, tuition assistance programs, and a defined contribution profit-sharing program.
